Stephen Brewster of Florida currently holds the record in the crime world after the authorities of Sarasota County have arrested him for 40 times.
The 32 year old man’s last arrest was last Tuesday when he was taken into custody for burgling a car.
Tom Knight, the sheriff of the county, said Brewster has been though the judicial system so much that perhaps the Florida man knows the system better than he does.
Brewster is now put back behind the cold bars and his bond is set at only $5,000. The woman who owned the car that was burgled by Brewster was shocked when she took a look into his record in Sarasota jail.
The sheriff also revealed that the office is frustrating because they have to process the culprit again and again. It means they have to spend money again and again as well.
The rap sheet of probably the most disliked person in the county includes arrests for grand and petty theft, forgery, robbery, stealing credit cards, fraud, loitering, criminal mischief, etc, etc.
Here is the release from Sarasota County:
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephen A. Brewster, DOB 9/27/79, 7859 Holiday Drive, Sarasota, after a witness caught him breaking into a car early this morning.
As Brewster ran from the crime location, 5136 Camus Street, the victim called 9-1-1 and the witness followed him in his truck. Deputies spotted Brewster running east across Honore Avenue to the Target parking lot and took him into custody.
Brewster has been arrested 40 times, primarily for burglary, forgery and use of stolen credit cards. He was released from prison last year and was still on felony probation at the time of his arrest.
