A man has reportedly suffered a heart attack while having dinner at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas.
As reported by MSN, the man was in the middle of finishing his Triple Bypass Burger when the heart attack came. Fortunately, the man managed to survive and made a good recovery.
The owner of the restaurant, Basso (he calls himself “Doctor Jon”), said many tourists thought what the man acted was a joke to entertain the visitors. But Basso then called 911 after realized that it was no joke.
Basso said the man, who is about 40 year old, found it hard to talk. He was shaking and sweating.
Tim Szymanski, spokesman for the paramedics, said they were called to the restaurants where the incident took place on Saturday night. He wouldn’t tell the name of the poor man.
In the video displayed by Fox 5 Vegas, the people in the restaurant were heard laughing when they saw the man fell ill. They seemed confused whether the man only did a joke or he was really ill.
Interviewed by Fox 5, Basso said he felt terrible for the man as the people there saw him as an attraction. “They took photos as if it was like a stunt,” he said.
“Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that.”
This incident followed another incident that happened last year when the 575-pound spokesman of the Heart Attack Grill was found dead.
The restaurant, ironically, has a joking warn address to the customers, saying the “establishment is bad for your health.” Another hilarious warning on the door tells: “Cash only because you might die before the check clears.”
