Cute Hello Kitty Jets Launched in Taiwan
Taiwan airline, EVA Air, comes out with another quirky yet brilliant idea of bringing the cute character of Hello Kitty to the sky. The airline has recently introduced 3 airplanes that have Hello Kitty decoration to the public.
The first airplane is called the Magic Jet that serves the routes of Taipei-Sapporo (daily) and Taipei-Guam (Tuesdays and Saturdays).
The name of the second airplane is Apple Jet. It flies Taipei-Seoul every day and Taipei-Fukuoka every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
The last aircraft is called Global Jet that flies Taipei-Tokyo and Taipei Hong Kong every day.
The public relations officer of the airline, Anna Wong, said the response from the public has been excellent since the launch. She said many people want to be in the Hello Kitty-themed airplanes commissioned by EVA.
In all the three jets, all the crew of the planes will wear Hello Kitty-themed costume. In fact, the eating utensils, headrest covers, hand lotions, paper cups, tissues and soap dispensers will also have Hello Kitty designs.
According to CNN, this is the second cooperation of EVA and Sanrio, the owner of Hello Kitty brand. The first cooperation was in 2005. But the Hello Kitty jets were stopped flying after the licensing agreement expired.
EVA is the second largest airline in Taiwan. The Helly Kitty aircrafts will operate at least for one year. Those who want to experience flying with the Hello Kitty-themed flight attendants have to pay attention to the specific flight codes.
Here are the flight codes of the jets:
Magic Jet: Taipei-Sapporo (BR116/115) and Taipei-Guam (BR20/19).
Apple Jet: Taipei-Fukuoka (BR2106/2105) and Taipei-Seoul (BR160/159).
Global Jet: Taipei-Hong Kong (BR857/858) and Taipei-Tokyo (BR2189/2197).
