Germany restaurant owner had declined and turned her back from the Swedish Royal family. Nadine Schellenberger of Zum Gueldenen Stern restaurant in the center of the southwestern town of Ladenburg didn’t recognize the royal couple and declined them to eat at her restaurant. She was busy catering and hosting a wedding party at that time.
“I didn’t recognise them. I mean without crowns and sceptres… I am just not up on royal families and I don’t have time for glossy magazines,” the busy host said, and explained more about the situation,
“Whether you’re a street sweeper or queen — we just didn’t have a table or enough manpower in the kitchen at that time and our hands were tied.”
After she refused to give the royals a seat in her restaurant she and her husband is planning to send an apology letter. That is at least she could do for the royal, or probably she should invite the royal couple to her restaurant and serve them as good as she possibly can.
Schellenberger said, ”We want to tell them that we are sorry we didn’t recognise them immediately and that we weren’t able to serve them but that we would be delighted to welcome them another time,” she said.
It was a busy day at the restaurant and everywhere at that town. Press reported that the royal couple and their entourage could only manage to get a pizza somewhere in the market square.
